What is Cerebral Palsy?
Treatment
Cerebral palsy cannot be cured, but it can be managed. Managing CP consists of helping the child reach their maximum potential in growth and development. A team approach to managing CP may involve physicians, therapists, educators, nurses, social workers, and other professionals who assist the family and the child.
As individuals mature, managing CP may involve personal assistance services, continuing therapy, educational and vocational training, independent living services, counseling, transportation, recreation/leisure programs and employment opportunities.
